Through evidence-based advocacy, movement solidarity, and strategic engagement, DIWA works to shape laws, policies, and frameworks that advance gender equality, disability rights, and inclusive development across Africa.<\/p><p>This program focuses on influencing key policy processes within theAfrican Union (AU), the\u00a0African Commission on Human and Peoples\u2019 Rights (ACHPR), the\u00a0Pan-African Parliament (PAP), and other continental bodies, while also supporting member organizations to engage with national governments and human rights mechanisms such as CEDAW,\u00a0CRPD, and the\u00a0Universal Periodic Review (UPR).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8297b4a e-con-full e-flex e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"8297b4a\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-63feefe elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"63feefe\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Through coordinated advocacy campaigns, DIWA promotes the ratification and implementation of the\u00a0African Disability Protocol (ADP)\u00a0and the\u00a0African Union Convention on Ending Violence Against Women and Girls (AU-CEVAWG).
