The program aims to ensure that women with disabilities are not only part of regional and continental movements but are also recognized as leaders, decision-makers, and agenda-setters in Africa\u2019s equality and justice landscape.<\/p><p>Through this program, DIWA strengthens the capacity of national networks, supports the formation of new country chapters, and facilitates cross-regional collaboration among members in East, Southern, West, Central, and North Africa. It serves as a unifying platform for advocacy, knowledge sharing, and collective action on issues affecting women and girls with disabilities.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c6232da e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"c6232da\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-207aceb elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"207aceb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<blockquote><p>\u201cMovement building is the heartbeat of DIWA. DIWA also engages actively with African Union organs, regional economic communities (RECs), and civil-society networks such as the Civil Society Regional Network (CSRN), African Disability Forum (ADF), FEMNET, and Inclusion Africa, ensuring intersectional representation in Africa\u2019s development and governance dialogues.<\/p><div class=\"highlight-box\"><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>The program\u2019s key focus areas include:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul><li>Movement Strengthening and Coordination\u2014supporting member organizations to build strong, inclusive, and accountable national movements of women with disabilities.<\/li><li>Regional and Continental Engagement\u2014ensuring meaningful participation of women with disabilities in African Union, Pan-African Parliament, and ACHPR processes.<\/li><li>Coalition Building and Partnerships\u2014fostering collaboration with feminist, youth, and human-rights movements to advance shared goals on equality and justice.<\/li><li>Intergenerational Leadership and Mentorship \u2013 connecting emerging young women leaders with seasoned advocates to sustain Africa\u2019s movement of women with disabilities.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/div><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Through this program, DIWA has led and co-organized multiple sub-regional convenings, continental dialogues, and joint advocacy campaigns, amplifying the voices of women with disabilities and ensuring that their priorities are reflected in Africa\u2019s regional and global development agendas.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Regional, Global Engagement &amp;
